A phishing scam against Paypal users was noticed which attempts to confuse its victims by sending fake email supposedly from Paypal. This rogue email asks users to confirm transaction information.
This scam sends you an email titled “Receipt for payment to Skype”. They also ask you to send payment to Skype. You need to ignore this email and delete it from your email box because the link in the email is malicious and fraudulent.
Fake URL may seem legitimate but it isn’t so. If you click the link you’ll be redirected to Chinese domain dressed up to look like the real Paypal. If you look closer to the link you’ll see that it is not real one:
Legitimate website: https://www.paypal.com/uk/helpscenter/claim_refunds
Phishing website: http://www.qingshan-edu.com/p/info/index.html
Do not fall for this scam because this email is a very common attempt to steal personal information and to gain access to your Paypal account.
