Osama bin Laden death is the most searched theme on Internet nowadays. That’s why cybercriminals are using people’ curiosity and creates all kind of malware and fake videos to make people do their mistakes and fall for these scams.
It’s not surprising that Facebook users are the first ones targeted on these scams. Many URL links are noticed on the walls with the following message: „Sweet! FREE Subway To Celebrate Osamas Death - 56 Left HURRY!“ or „2 Southwest Plane Tickets for Free - 56 Left Hurry“.
If you click a link you’ll be redirected to the page that claims you need to post messages for the next page that will tell you how to win. This new posted message will appear on user’s wall and will hijack you to other page with further instructions.
This scam redirects you from page to page where you have to put your email address or passwords or usernames. This information may be a hint to you that links are malicious and you need to stop putting your personal information. Make sure that your computer is protected.
