Brand-new malware family infects users’ systems

Recently, new scam family has spread on the web which gains entering every user’s computer that is not protected with security software. This new malware group is designed to make their move on different OS. Cybercriminals have configured and designed group of scams that may target Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers.

The main goal of these bogus systems is to force user into purchasing “licensed” version of the program. To make it more convincing, rogue application imitates computer scans and shows mass of fictitious security alerts that state about numerous PC’s infections. Malware has its feature to hijack victim’s browser to misleading websites that sell the program.

The main thing you need to do is to ignore all pop-ups and do not purchase anything it offers. If infected you need to run spyware scanner or use manual removal guide to delete malware with which your system is infected. According to TrendLabs, infected messages are spreading on Facebook which contain a malicious link pointing to an archive file “May09-Picture18.JPG_www.facebook.com.zip”. Zipped archive itself has a file titled “May09-Picture18.JPG_www.facebook.com” and uses the extension “.com”.
