Cybercriminals is phishing your Twitter passwords via a DM attack

Recently, cybercriminals try to target Twitter users via direct messages pretending they are from their friends. This attack comes from the Twitter user in a form of a DM which reads:
when did you make this video? its hilarious, cant stop laughing lol [LINK]
The message supposedly comes right from one of your Twitter friends. This sort of message is a very popular to force user to read and click on a link.
If clicked on a link, you’ll be redirected to fake Twitter page which asks you to confirm your usernames and passwords. Do not fall for this blatant scam. You may notice this is a fraud if you look closer to the link of the rogue page. This is not legitimate Twitter website because the address is itwitier.com.
Giving your username and passwords may lead you to a fraud or personal information theft. Be careful of unknown links you get on your Twitter account and make sure it's legitimate first. Take care of your computer security by up-to-date security software . It is also recommended to create few different strong passwords for your online accounts.
