If you are looking for cheaper iPhone 4S you may be tricked if not vigilant because holiday season scam is on the web now. Be careful giving your credit card information online. Recently, new phishing scam was found which offers you a cheaper iPhone 4S through eBay.
Attack uses eBay domain with its replicated eBay posts for iPhone 4S units. Do not mix legitimate page with the fake one. At rogue page you'll find displayed Euro currency instead of USD which is at the real eBay page. You'll notice that at the rogue page you can get iPhone 4S much cheaper.
Fictitious eBay web page is hosted on domain that follows by www.ebay.ie to force its victims to believe it's a real eBay domain. It's interesting that all links within the fake web page will lead you to legitimate eBay site except "Buy it Now" link. Clicking on this link you'll be hijacked to the page you need to fill your personal information and credit card data. However, this is not the end.
After filling out the form, users are directed to a page that says they must contact the seller via email in order to proceed with the transaction. This is the hint you have to pay attention because it's not how it works when you buy something over the legitimate eBay. This is definitely the scam which aims to steal your money and personal information. So, don't fall for this tricky cheaper iPhone 4S scam because it's a top good of all that scammers are using now.
