According to recent news , Italian bank is a new phishers' target. Banca Popolare di Sondrio bank was noticed being an aim of spammed message which gives a misleading link to an Internet bank site Scrigno . Fake message contains an URL which sends user to supposed bank’s Internet banking site.
If user chooses to click this rogue link they will be lead to a site that looks very much like the legitimate Internet service’s login page. At this fraudulent web page user is asked to provide their user codes and personal identification numbers. Once your private information is provided user is hijacked to one more site that asks for a control code.
After your personal information is accommodated users are really redirected to a legitimate Scrigno site. However, this is too late for you to notice that this was a real fraud. Even if the last site is a real one, unfortunately, the phishers have already accumulated the data they need.
To prevent these kind of frauds you still need to be ware of suspicious-looking email messages and not to lose your vigilance. An effective security solution is also a way of being protected.
