Phishing attack using your Facebook account

Recently, MX Labs has stopped the trojan which was spreading thought the email. Message contains information that your Facebook account has been blocked because of the spam. It states that spam supposedly is sent from your account.

The message in the email says that you need to open an attached file because within it you’ll find a new password which will enable you to use your Facebook account again.

Possible content of the attachment may read as follows:

Facebook Service. Your password has been changed. ID309
Facebook Service.Your acciunt is blocked. ID799
Facebook Support. Your password has been changed. ID991
Facebook Support. A new password is sent  to you. 920


Notice that the fake email is sent from the rogue address Facebook office donotreply.nr.6170@facebook.com. The bogus message reads:

A spam is sent from your Facebook account.
Your password has been changed for safety.
Information regarding your account and a new password is attached to the letter.
Read this information thoroughly and change the password to complicated one.
Thank you for your attention,
Facebook Service.


An attached file’s title is Facebook_document_Nr59469.zip. Do not open this attachment because it contains a trojan. You definitely do not want it in your computer because it will cause you serious trouble. Trojan will change registry keys and will create rogue files and folders. This phishing attack is one of many attempts to steal your money. If you notice rogue program within your PC you need to get rid of it immediately by using security software .
