If you think that Defense Center is a legitimate security tool and you're planning on using it for your system protection, think again. The application is nothing, but a cheap imitation of a real antivirus made only to look like one, but not protect your PC. Defense Center comes from a series of malware pretending to be real security tools and more clones are expected to be launched soon as well. So take a good look at this parasite and do not trust any programs that look or act in the same way as Defense Center.

To get this infection you need to visit one of the many corrupt websites which are usually advertised online in those annoying banners saying you've won something or advertising adult content. Once such a website is visited you may either be suggested to download Defense Center or some similar fake security application threatening you with messages about your system being infected and so on. The parasite may also be downloaded by trojans without notifying the user.

Whichever way Defense Center is acquired, it acts the same – performs fake system scans, throws pop-ups at your computer screen and urges you to purchase the full software. The tool promises to provide you with security services, while actually it is not able to do that as it's a malware and not a system protection tool.
