HDD Control is a rogue anti-spyware application and is also a copy of fake Ultra Defragger, Scan Disk and Check Disk programs. HDD Control tries to mislead users into believing their computers are infected. Malware spreads via trojan horse which enters the system through its vulnerabilities. Once active, malware starts fake scans and displays numerous pop-ups and security issues. Few of the messages may read as follows:
Critical Error
Windows can’t find hard disk space. Hard drive error
Critical Error!
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \System32\496A8300. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware.
Critical Error
A critical error has occurred while indexing data stored on hard drive. System restart required.
System Restore
Hard drive does not respond to system commands – Critical Error
Requested registry access is not allowed. Registry defragmentation required
Read time of hard drive clusters less than 500 ms
32% of HDD space is unreadable
Bad sectors on hard drive or damaged file allocation table
GPU RAM temperature is critically high. Urgent RAM memory optimization is required to prevent system crash
Drive C initializing error
Ram Temperature is 83 C. Optimization is required for normal operation.
Hard drive doesn’t respond to system commands
Data Safety Problem. System integrity is at risk.

This is a fraud and none of the information should be trusted. Malware also may redirect your browser to other web pages that advertises registered version of HDD Control. Do not purchase it, because the program is malicious. It seeks to milk money from unwary users. Do not fall for this scam. Use an effective malware remover and terminate HDD Control upon detection.
