Infostealer trojan is designed to steal personal data and deliver it to a remote attacker. It usually targets online banking information and other logins related to financial operations.
Infostealer a.k.a. Infostealer.Banker may display fake system tray alerts in order to trick people into giving sensitive information away. The trojan spreads via spam emails. Infostealer infection can be avoided by not opening attachments on spam messages.
Infostealer trojan is harmless to an infected machine but it’s dangerous to users’ privacy and online banking accounts.
