Kido a.k.a. Worm.Win32.Kido is another name for the infamous Conficker infection.
The main feature of Kido worm is joining the compromised computer into a botnet. This makes a computer run slowly. Once the infected PC is part of a botnet, it can be used to distribute spam, to launch DDOS attacks and to perform other malicious activities.
Kido spreads via removable drives and vulnerabilities of Windows operating system. It prevents victim from downloading new security applications or launching the ones that are already installed.
