Personal Antivirus is a false system security tool made by the creators of some other infamous rogue applications like General Antivirus and Internet Antivirus. The only purpose of these programs, including Personal Antivirus, is to force the user into purchasing its 'full version'. The system works very simply: a computer virus named Personal Antivirus disguises itself as an anti-spyware application and tricks the user into downloading it from the internet as a free system security tool. Once on the system, Personal Antivirus starts performing fake security scans that pretend to find various threats and viruses. It then suggests purchasing the full Personal Antivirus program to remove the parasites found. None of this is true. Personal Antivirus is not able to clean or protect your computer. It is a malicious software and should be treated as such. If your system has been infected with Personal Antivirus, it is strongly advised to remove it ASAP.
