ProtectOne is only an imitation of a security program and is not able to provide any actual computer security service. The parasite is distributed online and is usually difficult to avoid if one does not employ reputable computer protection tool.
ProtectOne spreads via trojan which enters the system through its vulnerabilities. Once active it starts to scan your PC and displays numerous fake warning messages. They state your computer is severely compromised. Malware also offers you to purchase its “licensed” version but this is a scam. Do not fall for this fraud. Choose decent anti-spyware application and get rid of the scam once and for all.
