ProtectPcs is not a security application, it is a fraud and a part of an online scam. Protect Pcs is distributed at a number of corrupt websites pretending to be an Adobe Flash update or a video codec. Once this parasite enters the system it floods the screen with fake system scans and bogus warning messages. This might scare the inexperienced users and convince them that their computer has actually been infected and that they need to purchase ProtectPcs to get rid of all the 'infections'.
Unfortunately, ProtectPcs does not provide any kind of system security. It is a malicious application which seeks to violate the computer's security and get money from the PC users. It is strongly advised to avoid downloading or buying ProtectPcs and to remove it ASAP if it has been detected on one's computer.

How to remove ProtectPcs
