Total Vista Security is not a program to trust. It is not a real antivirus nor should it be taken for one. The application is a fraud imitating the actions of a legitimate security software. Total Vista Security generates fake system scans and reports numerous threats to be found. It then suggests acquiring the full Total Vista Security software so that it could remove the parasites that have been found during the scan and protect your computer. It also generates fabricated security alert messages warning about some threats that do not actually exist.

One may become infected with Total Vista Security by surfing the web with a poorly protected computer which is not able to detect or prevent trojans from entering the system. However, trojans are not the only way in which Total Vista Security is distributed. It may as well be advertised as a reputable security tool and suggested for download or come with fake video codecs and other downloadable files. In case you have Total Vista Security on your computer it would be best to remove it upon detection.
