WinGuard is a new variant of Antivirus System Pro fraud. It's in fact the same malware disguised under different design.
Win Guard installs itself uninvited via help of trojans. It is also promoted widly on deceptive websites. When it gets on victim's PC, WinGuard presents itself as a security tool which is part of Windows operating system. The hoax might be pretty convincing since WinGuard is able to fabricate system scan and infection alerts. The fraud loads enormous amounts of counterfeit pop-ups trying to make victims worried about their computers.
If Win Guard appears of a screen of your PC, keep in mind that the program is not actually capable of detecting or deleting viruses. The fake pop-ups are not only there to annoy you, they also demand your money if clicked upon. Win Guard is a malicious application and it's definitely not worth purchasing. The paid version doesn't even exist; it's just a lure to milk money.
WinGuard may cause additional problems such as disabling regular programs including antispyware and antivirus tools.
