New fake software which appeared recently is quite an interesting one. “Chit Chat” allows computer users to chat with their Facebook friends directly from desktop. This is instant messaging software which approves its victims use this fictitious software by not opening Facebook.

It comes to the user’s computer through the use of Relevant knowledge which is also classified as spyware or adware by some of the anti-virus software vendors. This rogue application installs “Chit Chat” Toolbar in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

“Chit Chat” is considered as spyware / adware and this is why it also drops Spigot search settings component and Application Updater background process tool on victims PC. You need to ignore all these fake applications because it may cause you serious trouble. Do not install offered malicious Relevant knowledge application.

However, you also have to pay an attention to the rogue message which may be more dangerous than Relevant knowledge program. This fake message reads:

Depending on options and usage, application may include automatic applications updates, a network error assistant, or transmit personally identifiable information.

The message is tricky one because it can‘t tell you which program shows this alert - Relevant knowledge or the “Chit Chat” program. Be careful of the installation. If you choose to remove “Chit Chat” application you need to delete “Chit Chat” Toolbar as well.
