The latest hit on Facebook uses the name of recently released Toy Story 3 movie. As written in Graham’s Cluley blog the message have spread widely across Facebook. The message reads:

SHOCKING: RUDE HIDDEN MESSAGE IN Toy Story 3!
See the SHOCKING picture!
Hardly ANYONE notices this when watching Toy Story 3

As G. Cluley states, if you choose to click on the link in the provided message you’ll be redirected to a page which uses the same tactic: for wanting to view the picture or video, you must first "Like" the page, then help spread the word by posting the link on your wall, then finally fill-out an online survey. After this trouble you’ll get nothing.

Social networks like Facebook are a great pattern for scammers to spread malware because of very informal communication between friends. They are usually very trustful so they often don’t think of the dangers lurking online.

Still, if you have fallen for this scam the best thing to recover is to take the time and delete references to it on your profile. You also have to take care of those pages and remove it from the list of pages you like. This is how you‘ll also protect your friends from falling to this scam.
