Internet Explorer is going to be more than just look like Chrome it will also update silently just like Google browser has done. IE browser will be auto updating on January by offering the latest version of it for your operating system.
New versions will include Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows Vista OS which means that Windows XP users will be updating to IE8 version, Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can get IE9 version which will be released on March.
These silent updates firstly will start at Australia and Brazil. So, you need to make sure your system has automating update function turned on. However, you will not get this update without your consent, that means you'll be able to choose whether you want the latest version or not.
There are new features included in IE9 version, for example, you can pin your browser for Windows 7 taskbar. You may also click on the pin when you want to visit a site and you're taken to the web page without actively surfing. With IE working on Windows means the reason you get Windows. If IE disappears, Windows will be less popular, so silent updates are needed not just for IE but for Windows as well.
