Top Online Threats Relating to the 2010 World Cup

Firstly, WatchGuard sees a high spam increase that uses a theme of 2010 World Cup. This is not all, because it is noticed that instead of the usual marketing spam, there are also mass of malicious spam, such as, spyware or browser hijackers that redirects users to malicious websites.
The second part of noticed security threats is spear phishing. It is targeted to small populations in order to trick them into clicking on links that hijacks to counterfeit websites that contain malware. Thirdly, a new way of attacks is connected with vulnerabilities associated with PDF documents.
