Twitter is a Scammers’ Target Again

Twitter is a target of the scammers again. This time attackers are sending a bogus file with supposedly new password for your Twitter account. The fraudulent message reads:
Subject: Reset your Twitter password
Because of the measures taken to provide safety to our clients, your password has been changed.
You can find your new password in attached document.
The Twitter Team
Please do not reply to this message; it was sent from an unmonitored email address. This message is a service email related to your use of Twitter.
This letter contains viruses and by opening an attached file you’ll get a backdoor trojan onto your computer. Scammers use this same password to infect user’s Facebook and MySpace accounts.
It is highly recommended to ignore all fake letters with untrustworthy links. Be aware and ignore all letters and attached files from unknown people. Instead, visit the service and try to loggin again. It is pretty sure that your old password will work and you‘ll be able to enter your account. This is how you‘ll know that the password reset email is a malware scam.
