It’s not very surprising that social networks are the most favourite of the hackers and Facebook is not an exception. It’s other way round, Facebook is the most targeted social network of all because 600,000 accounts are hacked per day.
Facebook revealed a map of hacking activity. Moreover, it landed new measures to protect your privacy. It commented: “We are adapting and responding to new threats everyday and will continue to roll out new ways to protect your account.“
Facebook revealed new security feature – Trusted Friends which allows you to get back into your account with the help of your friends if account is hacked. Facebook said: “It's sort of similar to giving a house key to your friends when you go on vacation - pick the friends you most trust in case you need their help.“
It is also testing a feature that allows users to use application passwords for logging into third party programs. However, this feature is also discussed of many that friends are also a target of hackers that may compromise access information to other parties. That means, Facebook security is still an issue.
