Top 15 Most Abused TLDs in February 2010

Avira recently released report about the most abused TLDs in February 2010. The main difference noticeable from January is that the .ru domain were used 64% often that January. This factor was the reason that .ru domains ended on the 3rd place in this top 15 (see the list below). Twitter Phishing Attack

It is our concern to inform you that a new Twitter phishing attack is on its board and attempting to obtain Twitter logins via Direct Messages. If you see a message reading “lol, is this you”, and linking to a site called “bzpharma,” do not click it. It is a fraud. Those who click on that link give scammers a straight way to use their account. They are able to take over it. Read more.
Google Buzz is at its Crossroads

Gmail tool recently was accused for broadcasting contacts. Microsoft and Yahoo are claiming Google Buzz is nothing new. The service, which let Gmail users to update their status and share content from YouTube and Picasa, is another try to compete with Facebook and Twitter. Tuesday's Haiti Earthquake had not only caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, but also a huge number of cybercrimes. A lot of domain names related to Haiti tragedy have been registered recently, however, not all of them are dedicated to honorable causes. Several fraud websites have been reported to imitate collecting money for the earthquake victims although they were actually funding scammers. Read more.
